Increase of attorney fees in Serbia: Running in place or running ahead?

From 5 July 2025, legal services provided by attorneys in the Republic of Serbia are billed in accordance with the new Tariff on Attorneys’ Fees and Reimbursements. The Managing Board of the Bar Association of Serbia decided to increase the value of one tariff unit from 45 dinars to 50 dinars, and the decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No. 56/2025. On paper, this looks like simple news: five dinars more per tariff unit. Google ends geofence warrants

Location data has become an integral part of everyday digital life, providing easier navigation through various digital tools, such as maps. Despite the importance of making navigation easier, the need to preserve data privacy, such as location data, has been cast to the shadows. In light of this misuse of our private data, Google is finally set to implement a ground-breaking update for its widely used mapping service, Google Maps. The update relates to a change in the way Google stores data: instead of on the cloud, data will be stored on users’ devices. The AI Act – EU’s First Artificial Intelligence Regulation

In a ground-breaking move, on 8 December 2023, the European Parliament officially reached a provisional agreement with the Council on the AI act. With this agreement, the European Union has implemented the world's first comprehensive regulation on artificial intelligence, known as the AI Act. This landmark regulation is now in it’s final stage of implementation, as it still needs to be formally adopted by the Parliament and the Council. The AI Act aims to safeguard the well-being and fundamental rights of EU citizens, setting a precedent for global AI governance.
