Ukraine simplifies import/export of military and dual-use goods

The Ukrainian government has simplified the procedure for obtaining permits and conclusions for international transfers of military and dual-use goods under international treaties with Ukraine. The relevant changes were introduced by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 6, dated 07 January 2026, and come into effect immediately from 8 January 2026.  When does the simplified procedure apply? Kinstellar is honoured to have supported Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (Kongsberg), Norway’s premier supplier of defence and aerospace-related systems, with opening a permanent office in Kyiv. Kinstellar and Strategy Council deliver the 3rd Defence Tech Forum in London

Following on the success of our two previous defence-tech events, Kinstellar and the Strategy Council, in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK, were honoured to deliver the 3rd Defence Tech Forum in London on 25 April 25 at the Royal United Services Institute. The theme of the gathering was Ukrainian Technology for a New European Army: Galvanizing the private sector to meet UK-European security demands.  The continued relevance of these events was underscored by His Excellency Ambassador Valeriy Zaluzhniy, former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Kinstellar advises the European defence giant KNDS on opening a subsidiary in Ukraine

Kinstellar advises Rheinmetall on the cooperation agreement with Ukraine’s state-owned defence industry concern, Ukroboronprom

Kinstellar is proud to have advised Rheinmetall on the signing of a cooperation agreement with Ukraine’s state-owned defence industry concern, Ukroboronprom.  The two major defence manufacturers intend to create joint capabilities domiciled in Ukraine through setting up a joint venture, which is expected to be operational from mid-July 2023. Starting with the maintenance of military vehicles, the parties plan to move to the transfer of technology, joint production of selected Rheinmetall products in Ukraine, to potentially joint development of military systems, including for subsequent export from Ukraine.
