Serbia – An attractive destination for investors from the Czech Republic

March 2017 - Serbia is among the five most attractive countries for foreign direct investment in the European industry. The World Bank's Doing Business 2016 ranks Serbia at 47th place, which is a jump of 44 places compared to last year's list. The increasing stability of Serbia’s political, economic and legal systems are all factors contributing to the overall improved investment climate.

According to the Embassy of Czech Republic in Serbia, the volume of Czech investments in Serbia has been increasing over the past five years. Viewed from the perspective of investors, before engaging in such activities various corporate issues must be tackled, as well as issues relating to the current tax framework, tax incentives, and to the main political, economic and legal parameters in Serbia.

In order to address these areas of investor interest, and to further strengthen the already successful business cooperation between the two countries, the seminar "Investing in Serbia – Opportunities and Key Issues" will be held on 29 March 2017 in Prague. Experts from Serbia and the Czech Republic—including representatives of the TPA Group, an international company present in 11 countries, and Kinstellar, one of the leading international law firms operating in Serbia in cooperation with the law firm Maric and Mujezinovic—will present topics of key importance to consider before investing in Serbia.
