Kinstellar supports young Czech video game start-ups at Prague Game Accelerator programme

December 2025 – Kinstellar has recently provided legal mentoring to ten video game start-ups as part of the Prague Game Accelerator, the first-ever Czech accelerator dedicated to young game developers. The program is organized under the auspices of the Prague Innovation Institute and the City of Prague.

Over twelve weeks, ten teams from leading Czech universities completed an intensive program led by Czech and international industry experts. Their projects span a diverse range of genres—from logic puzzle adventures to survival RPGs and educational strategy games.

As part of this initiative, Kinstellar delivered comprehensive legal guidance tailored to emerging indie studios, covering key topics such as intellectual property protection, studio formation, and the use of generative AI in game development while minimizing legal risks.

It is a great honour for us to have been selected as legal mentors for the program. We are delighted to support the local video game community, especially young indie studios that are incredibly creative but still at the beginning of their journey and appreciate a few essential tips to help protect their most valuable asset, intellectual property. Our team is already looking forward to trying out their games at the upcoming Game Developers Session conference and during Demo Day at the institute.

The teams that successfully completed the program will showcase their projects at Game Developers Session (GDS), an international video game conference taking place on December 5–6 at the Prague Congress Centre, where Kinstellar will also host its traditional GDS Legal Summit dedicated to video game law.

The Kinstellar team was led by Petr Bratský and included Associates Pavel Hrdý and Junior Associate Antonín Dvořák. The mentoring programme underscored Kinstellar’s unique expertise in video game law and its ongoing commitment to supporting Czech studios and the local gaming community.
