RECENT ENGAGEMENTS INCLUDE ADVISING

  • VEOLIA ENERGIE INTERNATIONAL on the acquisition of PPC Investments, which owns and operates a combined cycle natural gas-fired (CCGT) power plant in Bratislava
  • NATIONALE-NEDERLANDEN (NN) on the acquisition of Aegon's life insurance and pension businesses in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic for a total of EUR 155 million
  • VINCI CONCESSIONS and MERIDIAM INFRASTRUCTURE on the operation of the R1 Expressway, the first Slovak road PPP project, valued at EUR 1.2 billion; ongoing advice on a wide range of commercial contracts, operation and public procurement issues, liaising with the Public Authority, as well as in relation to the participation of the same consortium in the D4/R7 Bratislava bypass tender
  • ZÁPADOSLOVENSKÁ ENERGETIKA (ZSE) on various commercial agreements, including energy trading agreements (EFET), on the provision of back-up power solutions to its customers, the preparation of the IT services agreement, as well as on various regulatory aspects regarding electricity distribution lines
  • BIOSYNTH, a Swiss manufacturer of chemicals and APIs, on the acquisition of control in the Slovak manufacturing company TauChem and on its subsequent restructuring in cooperation with the other shareholders
  • NIDEC CORPORATION on the Slovak law aspects of the US$1.08 billion acquisition of Embraco business from Whirlpool
