Radovan Grbović is a Partner in the Belgrade office and the Co-head of the firm-wide Dispute Resolution service line.

He has more than 20 years of experience practicing law in Serbia and the SEE region. He primarily focuses on dispute resolution, as well as real estate & construction and white-collar crime, with an emphasis on the energy & natural resources and infrastructure & transportation sectors.

Radovan advises clients in both domestic and international litigation, as well as in arbitration proceedings conducted under leading institutional rules, including UNCITRAL and ICC. 

He served as an advisor to the Vice President of the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro, where he was in charge of regional parliamentary cooperation, supported by the Council of Europe, and other relevant organizations - Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Adriatic and Ionian Initiative etc.

Energy & Natural Resources

  • POWERCHINA, on the acquisition of a majority shareholding interest (51%) in Vetrozelena, a project company developing a 300 MW wind farm in Serbia under a ready to build model – the largest acquisition in the Serbian renewables sector
  • STRICKLAND METALS, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company from Australia, in its indirect acquisition of Zlatna Reka Resources, a significant development in Serbia’s burgeoning mining industry, as the project holds an impressive 5.4 million ounce gold resource
  • POWERCHINA RESOURCES, one of the world’s largest energy developers, regarding a large-scale wind power plant project with 48 wind generators located in of Serbia

Real Estate & Construction

  • INTERNATIONAL HOTEL LICENSING (MARRIOTT) in connection with a high-level due diligence exercise for a proposed St. Regis branded affiliate hotel in Belgrade, located within the landmark Belgrade Tower at the Belgrade Waterfront development
  • MADISON DEBT HOLDING on the sale of a strategic telecommunications infrastructure asset to EXA Infrastructure; the transaction involves a metro optic network stretching 860 km along Serbia’s major highway corridors forming a vital digital backbone for regional connectivity

Dispute Resolution

  • STARR INTERNATIONAL, GLOBAL AEROSPACE, FARADAY AND LANCASHIRE SYNDICATES, powerhouses and leaders in the global insurance and reinsurance sector, in a litigation proceeding initiated by these companies as plaintiffs against the Serbian aerospace company before the Commercial Court in Belgrade
  • CEAC HOLDINGS LIMITED in a EUR 1.5 billion arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL rules between the claimants and respondents (State of Montenegro, Fund for Development of Montenegro, Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, Bureau for Employment of Montenegro, and Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica)
