Milan Samardžić is a Partner in the Belgrade office. He focuses on corporate M&A transactions, with particular experience in advising foreign companies entering the Serbian market.

With more than 20 years of experience, Milan advises international clients on complex matters pertaining to Serbia, providing legal solutions optimally in line with the intricacies of Serbian administrative proceedings and client`s business rationale. As a legal consultant, he has been closely involved in some of the first and largest mergers and acquisitions and privatisation projects in Serbia.

He has significant experience in advising international and local clients on large-scale M&A transactions and joint ventures, and he worked on some of the largest investment projects in both Serbia and the region. His experience covers a wide range of industry sectors including aviation, banking & finance, IT, media & telecoms, mining, NPLs, pharma, real estate & construction, retail, gambling and transportation.

Partner Milan Samardžić is hands-on and solution-oriented, with particular strength in converting regulatory and diligence findings into commercially acceptable deal fixes.

• e& PPF TELECOM GROUP, on the acquisition of United Group’s subsidiary - SBB Beograd - one of the largest CEE transactions and the largest in Serbia (total value EUR 1,5 billion)
• VOLKSWAGEN GROUP, on the funding of its joint venture with Rivian, a transformative transaction with a total deal size of up to USD 5.8 billion
• MVM on the exercise of a call option right under a shareholders’ agreement to acquire additional equity interests in two Serbian companies
