Junior Associate, Corporate and M&A – Ukraine
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Associate to join the Corporate and M&A service line in our Kyiv office.
The successful candidate will support senior team members in advising clients on a wide range of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and general corporate matters.
This role is ideal for a junior lawyer or recent graduate with excellent analytical and communication skills, a keen interest in transactional and corporate work, and a desire to develop expertise in M&A, corporate law, and contract management.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in drafting and reviewing corporate and commercial contracts under supervision;
- Conducting legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters;
- Supporting legal due diligence processes and preparing related summaries and reports;
- Helping prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and presentations;
- Providing support in M&A transactions, including drafting transaction documents and post-closing actions;
- Assisting in day-to-day corporate work, including corporate governance and compliance;
- Communicating with clients, authorities, and internal teams under senior supervision.
Key skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law (final year of studies or recent graduate);
- Up to 1–2 years of experience (including internships) in corporate or commercial law, preferably at an international or leading Ukrainian law firm;
- Strong knowledge of Ukrainian corporate and contract law; familiarity with M&A basics is an advantage;
- Excellent legal writing and research skills in Ukrainian and English;
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment;
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
