Ákos Mátés-Lányi of our Budapest office elected in the Ethics Committee of the Hungarian Venture Capital Association

April 2017 - We are pleased to announce that Ákos Mátés-Lányi, a Managing Associate in Kinstellar’s Budapest office, was elected on 7 April 2017 as a member of the Ethics Committee of the Hungarian Venture Capital Association (HVCA). Ákos has been involved in HVCA’s activities since 2014, and he has participated in projects aiming to introduce the private equity and venture capital industry to university students.

As a member of the Ethics Committee, Ákos will be responsible for carrying out the procedures to address the potential conflicts and uncertainties that may arise from the activities of HVCA’s members.

Ákos is a Managing Associate in the Budapest office of Kinstellar with more than ten years of experience. Ákos specialises in cross-border M&A, private equity, venture capital and capital markets matters. He has substantial experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, venture capital and other capital-raising transactions, disposals, joint ventures, corporate finance, restructurings, strategic investments, as well as in equity capital markets. Ákos has recently advised Prologis, the global industrial real estate investment trust in connection the acquisition of M0 Central Business Park, and CIG Pannónia, the renowned insurance company listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange, in connection with the purchase of local peers MKB General Insurance and MKB Life Insurance.

HVCA is an association representing the interests of the private equity and venture capital industry in Hungary by supporting its members and promoting adherence to the highest possible professional and ethical standards.
