Ágnes Zsófia Szabó is a Senior Associate in our Budapest office. She primarily focuses on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, as well as on private equity matters.


  • Bain & Cinven-backed STADA Arzneimittel on the acquisition of Walmark, a leading manufacturer of consumer health products in Central Europe from Mid Europa Partners. Walmark has a unique portfolio of well-established consumer health brands across multiple categories, with a direct presence across nine European Union countries
  • MVM / HUNGAROWIND on the acquisition of a 16MW solar energy plant in Visonta, Hungary, the largest solar park in Hungary, and a unit of Mátrai Erőmű ZRt. (Mátra Power Plant)
  • MET GROUP (a Swiss-based innovative group of companies, a major player in the regional natural gas market, focused on multi-commodity wholesale and trading) in entering into an agreement for the acquisition of 98.99% of the registered capital and voting rights in the Hungarian company Tigáz Zrt (owning 48% of the national grid) from the Italian oil & gas giant Eni, including Eni’s gas distribution operations in Hungary through its participations in Tigáz DSO and Turulgáz, covering the preparation of the preliminary legal due diligence process, the preparation and negotiation of the share purchase agreement, as well as advising on all intricate energy sector regulatory (such as unbundling matters) and competition law issues
  • MICROSOFT's Hungarian subsidiary on the Hungarian law implications of its worldwide internal restructuring, including ‎the preparation of the relevant documents and of all required steps before the various competent regulatory entities in Hungary
  • SK INNOVATION (a global Korean energy and chemical company) on the establishment of a greenfield HUF 97.5 billion 430,000 sqm electric vehicle battery factory in Komárom, Hungary
  • LINDSTRÖM (a Finnish company providing textile services including eg. workwear, change mats, personal protective equipment, hygiene, restaurant textile services in Europe and Asia) on the acquisition of Salzol Kft., a significant Hungarian apparel manufacturer, including conducting the due diligence process and advising in relation to the transaction structure, the negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement and assisting the signing and closing of the transaction
