Kinstellar Sofia authors the Bulgarian chapter of Kluwer’s Corporate M&A guide
June 2021 – Kinstellar’s team in Sofia once again authored the Bulgarian chapter of Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers publication by Wolters Kluwer International Group. This manual – the largest and most detailed database of M&A know-how available anywhere in the world – is a one-stop multi-jurisdictional guide to the local practical issues involved in conducting transactions in a foreign country.
This succinct aide-memoire will inform senior executives and professional advisers negotiating a cross-border transactions involving Bulgaria. Among the topics we discuss are the legal economic, political and cultural aspects, the framework for foreign investments, regulatory considerations, specific M&A procedures and merger control, employment, IP rights, and taxation issues. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we see growing M&A activity in several sectors in Bulgaria, including in TMT, financial services, real estate and renewable energy.
The publication was put together by the Sofia team, thanks to its significant experience advising international clients on their market entry in Bulgaria as well as the day-to-day conduct of their business.
