Kinstellar advises Veolia Energie International on the acquisition of a combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plant from Slovintegra
February 2019 – Kinstellar has recently advised the Slovak branch of the French energy giant Veolia Energie International on the acquisition from the local investment group Slovintegra of Slovintegra Energy and of a group of related companies, including a combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plant in Levice, southern Slovakia (LEG Group). The transaction was finalised in February 2019 following the approval from the Slovak Antimonopoly Office.
The transaction is the largest-ever for Slovintegra, as the acquisition package includes not only the power plant itself, but also all of its follow-up business, including the supply of heat to the town of Levice, the provision of balancing and ancillary services, and the operation of its own feeder pipe to the Eustream gas pipeline.
