Kinstellar bolsters dispute practice with new partner hire in Kazakhstan

February 2016 - Kinstellar, Emerging Europe and Central Asia’s leading independent law firm, is delighted to announce that Mukhit Yeleuov has joined the Almaty office as a Partner.

Mukhit Yeleuov, a highly regarded and well-known lawyer in Kazakhstan, joins us from Dechert, where he was a national partner. At Kinstellar, his main focus will be to develop our dispute resolution capabilities in Kazakhstan. Mukhit boasts significant experience representing clients in commercial and corporate disputes concerning property rights, subsoil rights, real estate, construction, shareholder rights, and breach of contract, as well as in fiscal and regulatory disputes concerning tax, customs, labour, migration, environmental, technical safety, and bankruptcy law.

For a number of years, Mukhit has been consistently recognised by the leading international legal directories Chambers, Legal 500 and other benchmark publications as a leading lawyer in his field.  Clients recommend him as a "great litigator", "a highly qualified legal professional with a deep knowledge of Kazakhstan legislation", and "a very dedicated" lawyer who "responds to problems very impressively."

Mukhit graduated with highest honours from the Kazakh State National University School of Law in 1999 and earned an LL.M. degree and an S.J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, USA. He was previously an associate instructor at Indiana University School of Law and assistant professor of law at the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research. Mukhit speaks English, Kazakh, Russian and Turkish.
