Prague lawyers Zdeněk Kučera and Petr Měšťánek speak at blockchain conference
March 2019 – Zdeněk Kučera, the head of the TMT and litigation practices in our Prague office, and the firm’s regional head of Know-How, Petr Měšťánek, have shared their knowledge of distributed ledger technology at a conference on blockchain in Prague organised by epravo.cz.
The event, entitled “Blockchain in law: a challenge or something ordinary?”, featured presentations from professionals and addressed key questions for the new technology, such as: Is the revolution coming? Will firms use blockchain technologies extensively? Will it replace existing processes? If so, are lawyers and corporate executives ready?
The conference focused on the legal aspects of blockchain use in a number of sectors – finance, distribution chains, healthcare, manufacturing, among other areas. Other tackled topics also included blockchain contract agreements, smart contracts, digital identity, blockchain data protection (GDPR), blockchain in regulated industries (outsourcing etc.).
