Kinstellar announces two Partner appointments

April 2019 – Kinstellar, Emerging Europe and Central Asia’s leading independent law firm, is delighted to announce the promotions to Partner of Antonia Mavrova in Sofia and Tomáš Čihula in Prague.

Antonia Mavrova, Sofia

Antonia has been with Kinstellar since the launch of our Sofia office in 2014 and has been instrumental in the development of the Sofia office and its real estate practice. She also serves as head of our regional Automotive & Industrials sector and has been working tirelessly to build and develop our track record in this area.

Antonia has 20 years of experience advising on real estate investments. Her expertise includes the structuring and acquisition of large real estate portfolios; the sale and purchase of commercial properties (office buildings, shopping centres and hotels) including title reviews, zoning, planning, and easements; and acting for institutional real estate investors. Her client list includes Old Mutual Property (a leading South African real estate and asset management company), International Hotel Licensing Company S.À.R.L. (a subsidiary of Marriott International Inc.), Globe Trade Center (a Lone Star subsidiary) and UniCredit Bulbank AD.

Antonia has been highly ranked in both the Chambers and Legal 500 guides since 2011. In the 2019 edition of Chambers Europe, clients praise her commercial approach, stating that ‘she offers tailor-made solutions’ and further that ‘she understands the business operations of her clients very well’. In the recent edition of Legal 500 clients describe her as ‘a great negotiator’.

Antonia studied law at Sofia University and is fluent in Bulgarian, English and French.

Tomáš Čihula, Prague

Tomáš Čihula has been with Kinstellar since 2009 and has over 18 years of professional experience. He is the head of our Competition practice in Prague and is the firm-wide head of our Life Sciences and Healthcare sector.

Tomáš focuses mainly on competition, state aid, public procurement, European law and life sciences and healthcare regulatory matters. He has advised a large number of multinational clients including Zentiva, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Teva, Bayer, Mid Europa Partners, Siemens and Fresenius Medical Care on a wide range of issues including antitrust legislation, merger control proceedings and the regulatory aspects of doing business in Central and Eastern Europe.

Tomáš studied law at Charles University in Prague and at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich. He speaks Czech, English and German.
