Kinstellar strengthens its M&A & Corporate coverage in Hungary with the addition of Gábor Gelencsér as Partner

February 2019 – Kinstellar, Emerging Europe and Central Asia’s leading independent law firm, is delighted to announce that Gábor Gelencsér has joined the Budapest office as Partner of the firm’s Hungarian M&A and Corporate practice.

Gábor Gelencsér is among the top lawyers in Hungary when it comes to corporate/M&A transactions. He has over 15 years of experience handling a diverse range of cross-border and domestic corporate transactions including management and oversight of numerous mergers, joint ventures, due diligence exercises and organisational restructurings relating to various industries and sectors, including real estate, telecoms and financial institutions.

Gábor’s practice and focus cover the entire spectrum of private and public M&A: cross-border and domestic share deals and asset deals both on the sell and buy side, private equity transactions, public takeovers, mergers/demergers, cross-border mergers, restructurings, joint ventures, W&I insurance matters, venture capital fund establishments, and high-value and high-profile deals.

Prior to joining us, he was a Senior Counsel at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang Ormai és Társai in Budapest, having previously been seconded to the firm’s London office.

Over the course of his career, Gábor has been recognised by the main international legal directories Chambers and Legal 500 as one of the leading lawyers in Hungary for corporate/M&A matters. In the most recent editions, clients praised him as a "very hard-working" lawyer, who is "talented and particularly smart, with a pragmatic and realistic approach." He is further described as “uncompromising when it comes to protecting the best interests of his clients’’ and “standing out for his level of attention and commercial understanding.”

Gábor earned an LL.M. degree in International Business Law from Central European University, Budapest, Hungary and holds a J.D. degree from the University of Pécs, Hungary. He speaks Hungarian, English and German and is admitted to the Budapest Bar.
