Kinstellar advises Czech start-up Carvago to take used car selling digital

June 2019 – Kinstellar has successfully advised Carvago, an innovative Czech start-up in the used car sector, on establishing the company and on the initial setup of its online platform.

Carvago.com was established by Jan Kranát, a former VW executive, and Jakub Šulta, the founder of Košík.cz, to compete with traditional sellers of used cars by means of an online platform. The aim of the project is to establish a Europe-wide platform for purchasing cars on the basis of big data analyses.

Kinstellar assisted Carvago in establishing its business and with setting up the online platform. Advisory included various legal issues related to corporate law, intellectual property law, data protection as well as database and software law. The Kinstellar team was led by Zdeněk Kučera, head of the TMT and litigation practices, and supported by Jakub Šťastný, junior associate. Corporate matters were handled by partner Jan Juroška and junior associate Denisa Šimanská.
