May 2012 - Kinstellar is pleased to announce that it has won the "Central and Eastern European Client Service Award" at the Chambers European “Awards for Excellence 2012” ceremony in Amsterdam on 10 May 2012.
4 May 2012 – Daniel Torsher, Managing Partner of Kinstellar’s Bucharest office, represented Kinstellar as speaker and moderator of a panel discussion at the 6th annual meeting of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (“APRL”) in Istanbul on 3 May 2012.
The Lawyer, 16 April 2012 – A special Czech-Slovak supplement in The Lawyer contains an article highlighting recent changes to Czech legislation that are expected to have a positive impact on the local legal market. Among the recent changes, perhaps the most significant is the major overhaul of the Civil Code in late 2011. The new Code abolishes many holdovers from the Communist era and makes doing business in the Czech Republic much easier and more similar to Western Europe.
April 2012 – Kinstellar is pleased to announce that its practice in Hungary, Andrékó Kinstellar, was named "Law Firm of the Year" in Hungary at the IFLR European Awards ceremony in London in March 2012.
29 March 2012 – Kinstellar co-hosts the seminar “Corruption and Compliance and the Impact on Business in Central and Eastern Europe” in Berlin.
30 March 2012 – Jitka Logesová, Partner and head of Kinstellar’s firm-wide Compliance, Risk & Sensitive Investigations practice, makes a presentation at the seminar “How Will I Manage Corruption” co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Prague and the office of the Mayor of Prague.

8 February 2012 – The rapid spread of cloud services is one of the most characteristic trends and a driving force in the IT market these days. However, data privacy concerns pose significant barriers to the acceptance of cloud services by several companies. Some of the most important privacy-related concerns arise in connection with cloud services offered by corporations that are based in the United States. These concerns stem from the general opinion in Europe that US government agencies could gain easy access to customer data stored “in the cloud” under the terms of the USA PATRIOT Act (an acronym for “Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001”).
