Kinstellar holds seminar on the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation in Bulgaria
September 2017 - On 27 September our Sofia office held a client seminar on the impact on Bulgarian businesses of the enhanced data protection requirements under the General Data Protection Regulation (''GDPR'').
Our lead technology and data protection specialist Dessislava Fessenko explained in practical terms what those requirements mean for businesses operating in Bulgaria and cross-border and how they could prepare and comply with them.
Guest speakers at the event were senior experts at the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection, who shared their take on the implementation of the GDPR and expected enforcement approach by the local authorities. The seminar was attended by more than 60 representatives of companies from the energy, IT, banking & financial, retail, consumer goods, life science and telecommunications.
